Class Picture - CHEESE!!Emily's class had field day at school. The games are NOT what they used to be. No shoe kick, no relays, no competition - at all!!
My beautiful girl INSISTED on wearing her pretty yellow dress, I don't think she really knew what "field day" was.
That is OK, she participated in every event, and had a HUGE smile every time.
Afterwards all the kids got a water-bottle that said,
"Green Gables Field Day 2008"
What happened to the ribbons? The competition? I am somewhat upset that there was no first, second third place for anything. That is what made me HATE field day, but I still enjoyed the day. Things have changed so much over the years. Oh well - she still had a good time and got to end the day with a Popsicle.
