Date Night...FINALLY!!

We FINALLY got to go on a date!! The kids packed their bags and ALL went to a slumber party at Uncle Randy and Aunt Katelyn's house!! They are VERY brave to take all 4 of my kids and Brynna plus their own 1 year old!!
The kids had a super fun time. They died Easter eggs, stayed up till midnight watching Jurrasic Park and playing the Wii. Chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast was a HUGE hit!! Poor Katelyn is home napping, I am sure. Thank you soo much randy and Katelyn, for giving Todd and I a break from our daily chaos, and taking it on yourself. You guys are the BEST!!
So, Todd and I got to go out. He took me to our favorite restaurant, Red Robin. It was delicious! As usual. I ordered the Prime Rib Dip with garlic and Parmesan fries, and Todd got the Blackened Chicken burger. We were both very happy with our meals.
Then we went shopping at Kohl's. Todd needed to get a college team t-shirt for work on Monday. He found a CU Buffs t-shirt that was on sale!! (and I had my 15% off coupon!!)
After that we went to the theater. We saw Bounty Hunter. (picture above). I really enjoyed it. I love a good romantic comedy, and that was it!! I think Todd was a little disappointed, not enough action, nudity or blood and guts for him. Sorry sweetie!!
We probably would have been much happier renting a movie from red box. I forgot how rude teen-agers are. The theater was CRAWLING with them!! I went into the bathroom, and girls were throwing soaked toilet paper on the ceiling... some were running and yelling down the crowded halls, inside the theater, some girls were laughing loudly and talking right up until the lights went down, then ALL thru the dark theater, I kept seeing cell phone screens turning on. They were texting all thru the movie!! I was soooo irritated! It was VERY distracting.
I loved being with my sweetie... it has been a LONG time since I have been alone with him. We figured the last time we have been to a movie together, I was pregnant with Zack...but we cannot remember what the movie was. I did, however, find it too hard to sleep. It was too quiet. And it was way too quiet this morning. I miss my crazy chaotic house. I need my kids and the chaos. I love Todd, but he is too quiet.
We had a great time together. I can't wait until next time...maybe we will do something else. Maybe bowling or something. The times we get together are priceless, and way to few and far between.
Thank you, Todd.
Thank you Randy and Katelyn...hope my kids didn't drive you crazy.

HATEING the cold...

It is sooooo cold and snowy here. I am so tired of it. The dogs have to stay inside, the kids have to stay inside, I have to stay inside.

I planted tulips last fall. I cannot wait to see them in the spring. HOPEFULLY I did it right, because I put 100 bulbs in the ground, followed the directions precicely. Cross your fingers.

Not a whole lot to report about these days. Baseball season will be underway next month, Jordan and Todd will be busy with that, Tyler is this close to getting his next belt rank in Karate, Emily has the biggest imagination of all my kids, always playing "Mommy/Teacher" and Zack is obsessed with guns and knifes...I hope this is just a stage and he outgrows this obsession soon. We got him a 'cap' gun to get tired of and I let him 'help' in the kitchen at dinnertime, he gets to use the butter knifes.

Please spring, bring the warmer weather...I may be tempted to move to Arizona.

A few more cards...

Made this one for Jo
This is for Ty...don't really like where I put the stamp
Oh,well...

and this is for my Zack-a-roo.
HOLY CRAP they are all sooooooooo CUTE!!
{Don't think the kids will care about the cards, they will go for the chocolate}
I love them, and had TONS of fun making them.

Maybe I will post other things, soon...I mean besides my crafting. I am sure there is more going on in life that I should post about.
I will watch for something...to be continued...

Home-Made Valentine's...

BUT first a shout out to my teen-ager...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JORDAN!!
(I will NEVER get a normal picture of him...will I?!?!)
Yes, I did make the football and helmets...I printed up the logos and hand cut and pasted them to the helmets...pretty way cool, huh?
This is the card I made for Todd...I soooooo LOVE it!!
I got all mushy on the inside, so I didn't take a picture of that...but the outside is pretty!!

And this one is by far my FAVORITE!!
Yes, it is for my Rock Star, Emily...for some reason, she is much easier to make things for, than my boys...I have NO IDEA how to make their cards...
Emily talked me into buying the Hannah Montana cartridge, so I used it for her card...PERFECT!!

Is this obsession getting out of control? Maybe.
Do I care?
NOPE!!

a Few things...

I actually had to pull BOTH cricuts and my Gypsy out to finish a project I was working on for my Sister-In-Law...talk about TONS OF FUN!!
a sample of a refridgerator magnet I made for my Mom. She had to give a lesson in church, and wanted a little reminder for the ladies. Her saying was MUCH cuter...

these are the $1 mailboxes from Target. SOOO cute. I scraplifted this idea from www.mypinkstamper.com. She has the CUTEST website and TONS of great ideas. I visit her daily and will be scraplifting a lot more from her.
The mailboxes have the likeness of my 2 co-workers and myself {I'm the one with the camera} and I put them on the counter at my preschool for decoration. Everyone LOVES them! They were super fun to make.

My 1st project

In celebration of my Baby Sister being in town...she is the inspiration for my very first cricut expression project.
SISTER BAGS!!

I watched the tutorial DVD the cricut came with and she made it look so easy!! I just had to give it a go. I think {for my very first try} they are adorable!!
I made one for each of my sisters, my wonderful sister-in-law, and my mom.
There is sooooo much that this wonderful machine can do, I am a little overwhelmed, but a little more practice, and I will be making TONS of adorable things!!
LOOK OUT WORLD, KIM'S GOT A CRICUT!!
