Preschool Carnival

Jordan and Tyler at my preschools 11th Annual Halloween Carnival.
Tyler is Indiana Jones and Jordan is a football player. Jordan just came from practice...how convenient!
Zack (or Lightning McQueen) enjoying ALL of his game winnings.

this is Van's first year at our carnival. His daddy was a MAJOR part of Van's Monkey Costume. It would not have been the same without the GIANT BANANA to hang on to.
They were the cutest costume in the center, and Randy was a huge hit
(and the ONLY Daddy to dress up for his son!!)

I dressed as Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast.
I was cute!!
Emily and Todd were there too, however they were not around long enough to get a picture of. Todd dressed as Josh McDaniels (just kidding, he just came from coaching Jordan...so it only makes sense for him to dress as a "Coach")
and Emily was none other than Hannah Montana, ROCK STAR SENSATION!! I straitened her hair and sprayed gold glitter hairspray all over. She was beautiful! I can't believe I didn't get a picture of her!

It's been a while...

I haven't blogged for a while...life has gotten in the way.

We have been very busy this summer. Raising 4 kids, still getting our new house in order (we have been here for 1 year!!) and 2 puppies, I am constantly cleaning up something.

We have re-done our dining room and kitchen. New colors...light grey for the dining room, and steel blue for the kitchen and butler's pantry. I am still trying to get used to it, I think I like it, but...

We were lucky enough to have my little brother, his wonderful wife and their adorable baby boy live with us for 3 months. How lucky were we!! I really miss them now that they have bought their own place.

Now we get ready for the next 3 months of Holiday's... Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is our FAVORITE time of year. Decorating, shopping, the hustle and bustle of the stores, the smells, baking, falling leaves...I could go on and on.

Football season is in full swing. The Denver Broncos and Bear Creek Wildcats are 4-0, 5-0 respectively...GO TEAMS!! Super Bowl and Carnation Bowl bound!! This is the last year for Jordan playing football for the BC league...next year, High School!! No I am NOT ready for this.

This sums up the last few months, my kids are 1 year older, I am still running a successful Child Care center, Todd still sends people around the world on amazing vacations...same old, same old.

This Is The Life!!!

CHEESE!!!!

Butkus & Daisy
a play-date is always so fun. These two can't get enough of each other.
Daisy oulasts Butkus. She is like the energizer bunny...she keeps going, and going, and going...

the Zoo in my Backyard...

A Great Dane/Dobermane(sp?) Pincer Mix = "Shelby" nickname 'the Horse'
Boxer #1 = "Milly" - these two are my brother Randy's dogs.
Puggle = "Bailey" nickname - (these are too bad to post on my blog)
Boxer #2 = "Butkus" - he is our 'high-maintenance' puppy - these two are our dogs.
The 3rd Boxer you see here is "Daisy". She is Butkus's sister and she comes to play a lot.
So today I have 5 dogs in my back yard. They get along well. It was hard for Shelby and Milly to adjust to Daisy at first, but after we sent Milly to "puppy time-out" they calmed down and welcomed her. Bailey had to go to "puppy time-out" also. He is a humper. Nuff said.
I am soooooo lucky to have a big back yard for these dogs to run and play. My kids enjoy playing out there, too. We went 15 years with basically no pets. (Cats don't count) and now I am in heaven with 5 in my back yard. My kids will have wonderful memories of 'Man's Best Friend', and really appreciate the love and care it takes for a family pet.

Happy 4th of July!!

We had so much fun - Zack loved rocking with Grandma Everyone found a great spot on my front deck to watch the show!!
Ty does not like the loud fire crackers...Grandpa kept him safe!!

Uncle Randy helped Jordan fix up his motorcycle before the fun began.

We did "Front Yard" fireworks on the 3rd in our front yard.
everyone came over and brought bags of goodies to explode.
Even Butkus was in on the fun. He LOVED them!
Two pretty girls have the Front Row!!
Emily and her "sister" Sayler. (They are only cousins, but she is the closest thing Em will ever have for a sister.)

My brother Donny and his little boy, Donny the 3rd love the sparklers!!

Before all the fun, Daddy took Zack for a bike ride around the driveway.
Zack LOVED it!!

I am so happy that my baby nephew is staying with us for a few months. He is 4 months old and curing my baby cravings. He is the sweetest baby EVER!!

So most of my pictures have the wrong date, again!! I ALWAYS forget to check the date setting when the batteries are changed!! They were all taken on the 3rd of July, 2009.

My Windows!!

Before...
Paper thin and yucky.
We could feel the wind and cold come right into our house.
Bad news...

Then the goverment gave new home owners $8000 to help fix up their new homes..
Ta - Daa!!

They look so pretty!
I am sure they will help with our heating bill, also.
But right now...
I LOVE looking at my house!!
(Most of you know how LONG I have waited to have my own house... I am living the dream!!)

Yea Me!!

Memorial Day Project... "the Back-Breaker"

See! We dug up all the old, yucky bark mulch,
and added a pretty "scalloped" edge,

and new pretty mulch!!
Took all day, and about 3 trips to Lowes (for more mulch), and 2 trips to Home Depot for more pretty edge stuff.
It was a LOT of work...we had to stop for the rain a lot, but finished between rain/hail showers.
I am so glad I have two strong boys, and one determined husband.
They wouldn't let me quit, even when my back, arms and legs were KILLING me!!
And now I have a BEAUTIFUL front yard!
Now...just waiting for my WINDOWS!!
Should be soon!
