Estes Park - Cub Lake

We went up to Estes Park. Just to go. Entered into Rocky Mountain National Park... And hiked the 2.3 miles to Cub Lake. It was beautiful...then we had to hike another 2.3 miles back.

This is what all that hiking did to my 4 kids:

Fun

Pie in the face is very sticky and kinda stings your eyes.

Good to use as a hair gel...

2011Littleton Fire Muster

We went to the Fire Truck Parade & Muster in Littleton this morning with all the Cousins!!! Zack just loved it! We stood in line with a very impatient 2 year old, Van to ride on the fire truck. Once we got on, the boys had so much fun! We waved to grandma and grandpa and everyone. Then we played in the water and waited in line to spray the fire hose.

Zack is weird...

Emily's turn! We had so much fun. Thank you Uncle Randy and Aunt Katelyn!

Fun with the Schultz's

Jen is getting Married in 2 weeks.
(She is the one in the middle)
(The groom is Erik, he is on the left)
We went to Black Hawk for their Bachlor/Bachlorette party.

It was a LOT of fun.

Here are my winnings...
Todd and I started out with $80 to "play" with.
$40 for him, and $40 for me.
We only lost $8.75.
Not too bad.

The NEW Me

So in my house it is Mothers' Day. I got an iPod touch. Jordan and Todd have one and I must admit... They are AWESOME!

Well... I was playing on my iPad this morning and came across an app for running. Let me explain... In my quest to be fit, I read many health and fitness magazines and in one, I read about a thing called, "couch to 5k" and of course I am interested. I found the app, and told Todd about it. Feeling guilty, because I already have the IPad, I asked if I could borrow his iPod touch so I can begin the 'c25k' now, as it takes 9 weeks to complete. He said he was going to buy me the iPod touch for Mothers Day, and if I wanted, I could get it now. What a sweetheart!

Anyway, long story short... I hurt. Running may not be my thing. Not really fair to judge after just the first day, so I am going to give it the full go. I am not going to give up on myself or my $2.99 app purchase, but after 9 weeks, I will either have signed up for a 5k or seriously hurt everyone in my house. Let's hope it works! I am really excited for it. The touch and the apps for it.

Hopefully I can lose the weight I want to lose, and be fit and run a 5k! I am gonna need loads of support from everyone!

Big changes...

Well it is the New Year. Made resolutions, stuck to most of them, gave up on others. What's new.

Got a new owner at the Day Care. After 12 years, the old owner, Laurie finally sold. It is for the better, she had health issues she needed to take care of, so she sold.

The new owners, Jayson and Robin seem pretty cool. They are not too interested in changing things. I have run things for the last 5 or so years and things seem to be going good. Everyone seems happy.

Then today. Bobbie retired. Just out of the blue. She is 65 almost and ready to go. I thought I would be happy. Dancing on air, celebrating...well, not so much. I am pretty sad. She was old, didn't do much to help around the center, made me mad more days than not, but I have worked with her for 12 years. She was the when I announced I was pregnant with 2 of my kids. She has always been there for me. She has loved my kids and has done great things for them.

Kinda a sad day for me. I am not a fan of change. I sure hope everything works out for the best. You never know.

My school is enrolling...if you know of anyone who needs care, send them my way!

7.) Todd and Kim's 16th Wedding anniversary
8.) Jordan plays quarterback for BCHS Freshman football
9.) Todd and Kim go to the Historic Stanley Hotel for a Ghost Tour... Is it haunted?
10.) Todd and Kim plan our first Ghost Hunt with Ryan and Ema back at the Stanley... It just might be haunted!

Hopefully 2011 will be just as wonderful as most of 2010 was. The roller-coaster ride that was involved in 2010 will not be missed, but all the wonderful other parts will be. 2011 will be filled with goals, trips, growing and changing and becoming closer as a family.

Here we go!
