We FINALLY got to go on a date!! The kids packed their bags and ALL went to a slumber party at Uncle Randy and Aunt Katelyn's house!! They are VERY brave to take all 4 of my kids and Brynna plus their own 1 year old!!
The kids had a super fun time. They died Easter eggs, stayed up till midnight watching Jurrasic Park and playing the Wii. Chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast was a HUGE hit!! Poor Katelyn is home napping, I am sure. Thank you soo much randy and Katelyn, for giving Todd and I a break from our daily chaos, and taking it on yourself. You guys are the BEST!!
So, Todd and I got to go out. He took me to our favorite restaurant, Red Robin. It was delicious! As usual. I ordered the Prime Rib Dip with garlic and Parmesan fries, and Todd got the Blackened Chicken burger. We were both very happy with our meals.
Then we went shopping at Kohl's. Todd needed to get a college team t-shirt for work on Monday. He found a CU Buffs t-shirt that was on sale!! (and I had my 15% off coupon!!)
After that we went to the theater. We saw Bounty Hunter. (picture above). I really enjoyed it. I love a good romantic comedy, and that was it!! I think Todd was a little disappointed, not enough action, nudity or blood and guts for him. Sorry sweetie!!
We probably would have been much happier renting a movie from red box. I forgot how rude teen-agers are. The theater was CRAWLING with them!! I went into the bathroom, and girls were throwing soaked toilet paper on the ceiling... some were running and yelling down the crowded halls, inside the theater, some girls were laughing loudly and talking right up until the lights went down, then ALL thru the dark theater, I kept seeing cell phone screens turning on. They were texting all thru the movie!! I was soooo irritated! It was VERY distracting.
I loved being with my sweetie... it has been a LONG time since I have been alone with him. We figured the last time we have been to a movie together, I was pregnant with Zack...but we cannot remember what the movie was. I did, however, find it too hard to sleep. It was too quiet. And it was way too quiet this morning. I miss my crazy chaotic house. I need my kids and the chaos. I love Todd, but he is too quiet.
We had a great time together. I can't wait until next time...maybe we will do something else. Maybe bowling or something. The times we get together are priceless, and way to few and far between.
Thank you, Todd.
Thank you Randy and Katelyn...hope my kids didn't drive you crazy.
