Some Good News...

Well I just have to brag...We are FINALLY buying a house!! Todd and I have been happily married for 14 years (this October) and have 4 of the greatest kids in the world. We have always been fine renting, it didn't seem to bother us. However, in the back of our minds, we knew something was always missing. When we rented, we had to live by someone else's rules - No Pets, No Painting, No Yelling, No Jumping, No...No...No. Well, I am done with that. We applied for a loan, and qualified for enough for a nice place. We have been shown some Beautiful houses and some crappy houses, but it has been just great to go out with the love of my life and choose a house that we can call HOME, and grow old in together. -I told Todd it will be too expensive to get a divorce know, so he is stuck forever!!- We actually put an offer in on a house this afternoon. I am trying not to get my hopes up because things happen, but we have officially started the process!! YEAH US!! I will blog our process and post any news as it becomes available.

My Last Hoorah...

What do you do when it is the last day of your much needed, 10 day summer vacation? Take the family out for ICE CREAM!!

Zack got his FIRST cone, 'ballila' is the flavor, and he was happy as could be!! Emily ate her small 'cookie-dough' blizzard, Ty got his medium 'cookie dough' blizzard, Jo got a medium kit-kat blizzard, Todd got a large kit-kat blizzard and I got the yummiest treat on the menu: The Turtle Waffle Bowl!! OMG!!! What a YUMMY dessert!!

the Karate Kid

Ty is currently a white belt + black stripe. I do not know the official term for that, but hopefully he will soon be getting his yellow belt. He seems to really enjoy Karate and he is awful cute doing it. I hope he sticks with it, and really benefits from the skills, and techniques he learns. He began Karate in March this year, so I will keep posting his progress. He is currently attending at Rocky Mountain Karate, in Lakewood.

Buzz Cut

This was Zack's CRAZY hair Before his Buzz cut...
And this is after we Buzzzzz'ed his hair!
Isn't he sooo HANDSOME!!!
The only problem with this cut is that it has made him ORNERY!! Goodbye sweet baby boy, HELLO terrible toddler!
I am of course kidding, he is still my sweet cry-baby boy, who is trying so hard to be a 12 year old (gotta be doing everything his big brother does) and he CRY'S when he doesn't get his way, when he has to STOP doing what he wants to be doing, when he can't have the same thing as everyone else or when we tell him 'NO'.
Pretty much every 10-15 minutes or so he is crying. Then Mommy is there trying to compromise (yea, with a 2 year old!!) to get the tears to stop, and sometimes giving in to him. -I know, not always good parenting, but with 4 kids, I have to pick my battles!!
Anyway, I thought these pictures turned out SO cute! Don't mind the date on these photo's, I let Ty take pictures and He changed the batteries but didn't reset the date/time option.
We cut his hair on the 20th of June, 2008.

OUCH!!!

Jordan got to ride Uncle Randy's motorcycle!!
Aunt Katelyn takes him around the block. GO JO!!
This is what happens when Uncle Randy takes him around the block. And this looks good!!
OK- they are just being weird.
Well needless to say, after the "spill" Jordan took (and yes he was wearing protective gear - except elbow pads - I bet he doesn't forget those again!) didn't keep him from getting right back on and riding again. In fact, he is now buying that bike from Uncle Randy, by mowing Grandma's yard. By the middle of July Jordan will be the PROUD owner of his first death trap - I mean motorcycle. Yes he is very excited to ride it. Of course there are RULES to these killing machines, 'er um bikes. They are as follows:
  1. ALWAYS wear safety gear, especially Helmet
  2. No riding unless DAD is around to supervise (Yes supervise, I know.)
  3. Must purchase own gas (this is the only good thing about gas prices being so high, he doesn't make very much money!! Ha,Ha, Ha)
  4. Mom can send bike right back to Uncle Randy for any reason. I can come up with good reasons in an instant...just watch.
  5. The next time Uncle Randy brings another "toy" to Grandma's house, when Mom says NO, SHE MEANS NO!!!

p.s. Thanks Uncle Randy!!

Oh Boy!!

Here he is, my "middle child". The class clown, goof-ball, crazy boy, kid with 'spots', you name it, Ty has been called it. And he laughs it off. He has such a great sense of humor, and he can make anyone laugh.

He just finished the 3rd grade. He had a girlfriend. He has a best friend. He is so cute!!

He is also doing karate, witch he really enjoys. It is a place for him to go to be Ty, and learn, have fun and build his self confidence. He is always trying to live up to Jordan, although he is not an athlete. Karate is his thing and he loves it.

He really enjoys his Pokemon. Video games, card collecting, action figures, TV shows, anything and everything Pokemon. His friend at school got him into them and they talk about them a lot. He is such a good boy and very respectful of all around him, (unless he doesn't like you, then the world knows it!!) But that is very rare, he can get along with pretty much anyone. I am such a lucky mommy!!

Continuation...

Here he is. My oldest. 12 years old. I am gonna cry. He had his 6th grade continuation at Green Gables Elementary last week. He's moving on to middle school. I am terrified. He can't wait. He is a football freak - just like his dad. He loves to play outside with his friends, and go swimming. He is staying home this summer, hanging out, taking it easy. We have a lot of things planned. I just can't believe how quickly these last 12 years have gone. I cryed when he went to Kindergarten, and it will be even harder to send him to middle school. He is so handsome - just like his dad - he is the spiting image of his dad. I am so proud of him.
